About Me

Anxiety is personal to me, and that’s what helps me support my clients. From my first day of graduate school, I knew that anxiety and OCD therapy would be my primary focus. I understand how anxiety works, but more importantly, I care about what it takes from you—being present, enjoying free time, and fully engaging in life. People with anxiety are smart; they often excel in what they do, but they struggle to enjoy it. I want to help you reclaim that joy.

My approach is gentle and comprehensive. We’ll talk about more than just anxiety, and we’ll move at whatever pace feels right to reach your goals. I grew up in central Mississippi and have strong connections to local resources, so if you ever need additional support beyond our work together, I can help guide you in the right direction.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your qualifications?

I have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and most of my clients struggle with OCD or anxiety disorders. Many of them have “graduated” from therapy and moved past their major struggles with anxiety. OCD is personal to me, as I have loved ones who have faced it and greatly benefited from skilled therapists who knew how to help. I have advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxiety and training in Rumination-Focused Exposure and Response Prevention from clinical psychologist Dr. Michael J. Greenberg. This is a gentler treatment for OCD and all forms of anxiety that incorporates trauma and past experiences to aid your recovery.

What is Story-Informed Anxiety Therapy?

Story-informed anxiety therapy is my way of describing anxiety therapy that goes beyond behavior change alone and considers how your history, personality, and relationships have influenced your anxiety. Some anxiety treatments are focused only on the present and the future. While the way you respond to your anxiety now and in the future is of critical importance, I have found that many of my clients make much more progress when the past is known, understood, and accepted.

What should I expect from therapy?

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, so my first goal is to listen — to understand where you’re stuck and what you’re hoping for. Is it panic attacks in certain situations, difficulty standing up for yourself, or stress from intrusive thoughts? From there, we’ll clarify what you want and value: being present with your kids, not feeling worn down by anxiety at the end of the day, enjoying your free time without fear that anxiety will ruin it, etc.

My goal is to help you make what you love and value the guiding light of your life rather than letting anxiety run the show. My approach is gentle, and we’ll start as small as we need to for you to build confidence and a sense of agency. More than just strategies to get you through bad moments, we’ll work to understand the system behind your anxiety and begin breaking it down step by step — for good.

You’re the hero of your journey, and I’m your guide. Once you become my client, I’m fully invested in you, and I’ll connect you with every resource I can to help you succeed.

What are your fees?

I’ll be able to take many major insurances by late summer of 2025, but my current rates are:

$75 - Household income $75,000 or less

$100 - Household income $75,001-$100,000

$125 - Household income $100,001-$125,000

$150 - Household income $125,001-$150,000

$175 - Household income $150,001+

Where do you work?

I work at The Center for Hope and Healing at Broadmoor, a church-based counseling center affiliated with Broadmoor Baptist Church. While the center is connected to the church, it is not located on the church’s physical campus. The address is 212 Key Drive, Madison, MS. I offer Telehealth services to anyone in the state of Mississippi.

I enjoy discussing how faith can help us overcome anxiety, but I am also happy to work with clients who are unsure of their faith or prefer not to integrate faith into therapy. I’ll meet you where you are.
